Deadlines are something you should strive to achieve. And I do. I just haven’t hit one yet when it comes to writing. My goal/deadline for completing my current book manuscript was around January 1st. Which, when I drew the line in the mud, (We don’t have any snow right now and it’s been raining.) my deadline was achievable. However, at 4am this morning much of the story that hadn’t revealed itself yet, did so.
I was up filling out three + hand written pages of notes. That can translate into 30 plus pages of story. And there are other hand written notes that I have yet to review.
That being said, I have now drawn a new line. This one zig zags wildly to the point where I can’t say where the crossing point is. I may have to walk around. And to complicate things, this is the season of distractions. The greatest being, the upcoming celebration of Christ’s birth. Hense, all the other distractions. Y’all know what I’m talking about.
So, I am going to take on the roll of the weatherman and make another prediction. The manuscript should be ready for editing sometime in January. That gives me at least six weeks to be right. Cheers to weather guessing!
Y’all have a Merry Christmas.
Nathan
